Newly Elected Officials Training January 28

All newly elected officials are welcome to join the Tug Hill Commission and NY Association of Towns of Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. for a two-hour, information packed, Zoom workshop. Presenters Sarah Brancatella and Lori Mithen-Demasi from NY Association of Towns will cover a wide variety of topics, including conflicts of interest, code of ethics and boards of ethics, financial disclosure requirements, typical offices and their roles, oath of office, and preparing for your first meeting. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers.

The workshop is free but all attendees must register at tinyurl.com/2026newlyelected. Once registered, a Zoom link will be emailed directly to you, for use on the evening of January 28.

This workshop is sponsored by the Tug Hill Commission and the region’s five councils of governments: Cooperative Tug Hill Council, Northern Oneida County Council of Governments, River Area Council of Governments, North Shore Council of Governments, and the Salmon Rivers Council of Governments.

A flyer with all of this information is available here: 2026 Newly Elected Training.
