We look forward to seeing you Monday, June 2 and Tuesday, June 3 for the 15th annual Black River Watershed Conference!

Monday (6/2) will feature an evening reception with keynote speaker Tom Di Liberto.

  • Former NOAA Climate Scientist/Meteorologist and Public Affairs Specialist. 
  • Lead for the Department of State’s US Center at 2024 United Nations 29th Climate Change Conference, Conference of the Parties (UNFCCC COP29)
  • Star and creator of Teek & Tom Explore Planet Earth, NOAA’s first educational cartoon series

Tuesday (6/2), 9:00 am to 4:00 pm will be a full day of presentations, including:

  • Soil and Water District project updates from Lewis, Hamilton, Herkimer, Oneida, and Jefferson counties
  • Trout Unlimited – Culvert Replacements
  • Kevin Rose, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute – Lake Browning
  • Andrew Brainard, Upstate Freshwater Institute – Water Quality Sampling
  • Tom Algier, NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets – Invasive Species Status
  • Jillian Lee, NYS Tug Hill Commission – Winter Climate Changes in the Tug Hill Region
